Going to Paris for a shopping trip should not be with your household budget for the next two years. It just takes a little planning and permit them on little-known shops offering bargain deals.
Paris is a shopping mosaic
Those of you who visited Paris already know that from the perspective of a buyer, the city is divided into many parts, usually congregate where branches of trade. A mosaic of many colors, tastes and price ranges.
TakeSaint-Germain-des-Pres, for example. The highest part of the famous area closest to Boulevard St Germain, is home to designer clothes shops, cafes and restaurants. Immerse yourself and your steps will lead to the Rue de Seine, where the galleries have in common.
From Saint-Germain, walk up the Rue de Rennes, towards Montparnasse. You will be crossing the Rue du Four, where even more expensive clothiers line up the facades. But still on the St.Sulpice metro station, around which many clothing stores offer cheaper garments and accessories.
Sales season in Paris
In another area of the city, not too far from the old Opera house, the Boulevard Haussmann became the homestead of the department stores over a century ago. The Printemps store was built there in 1865, followed closely by the Galeries Lafayette, in 1893. Department stores are not unlike Ali Baba's treasure cave: clothes, shoes, jewelry, watches, accessories, Parfums spread over five floors high, huge area.
The selection is great, but you can find in Paris during the official sale seasons, visit a bargain. And there are only two sales seasons in France: winter and summer. Their respective course starts in a given year shall be set by administrative regulation, and they each last 6 weeks. In Paris the winter sale season usually starts in the second week in January. The summer sales start to seasonEnd of June.
Designer depot bargains
For off-season bargains look elsewhere. The gems are often found in small shops in God deserted streets or find difficult to apartments on the first floor. This is particularly the case of designer depots.
Although it has become a brand in North America, a designer depot is in fact a form of trade. To sell people like you and I bring in clothes that we no longer wear, and a little money from the shop owner that ourDresses for a little more money to other people.
I can hear your bladder comments: "Psst! Consignment store! Thrift shops !..." Well, are not in Paris, designer depots just your regular Salvation Army-type stores. Not at all.
Although not all equal before God, Parisian designer depots are often owned by women managed with a background in the fashion industry. Women with flair and a keen eye for what to wear what and how. Women who say without further ado, why dowould look better in this dress in that one.
In "Designer Depot" said the magic word 'designer is ". Parisian designer depots offer designer and haute couture clothes, deep, deep, deep discounts. And mind you, clothes in quasi perfect condition. Clothing only worn once. Well, maybe twice.
When you come to them with your regular hoodies, or purchased with the last season, tennis shoes, or your mall-greet polo shirt for that matter, do not expect to. Expect rejection with a rejectionStare place.
So, where they hide?
Then again, not all designer depots were created equal, and when you go shopping for practically-perfect-in-every-way designer clothes is the true measure of your inside knowledge of the city.
I would recommend that you three "petites addresses" [the French "best-kept secret places'] I have under a variety of others.
For those of you, ladies, is like the classic look "Priscilla" the business for you. Priscilla is ladyOwner of the place. They worshiped the signature names as Yves Saint Laurent, Max Mara, Kenzo, Chistian Dior, and Sonya Rykiel. Their prices range from € 60 to € 75 for a skirt for a jacket, to € 130 for a suit lady. Priscilla advises you to browse, and come to their place with an open mind. The shop is at 4 rue Mouton-Duvernet, in the 14th District. The nearest metro station is Mouton-Duvernet. The opening times are between 4:00 pm and 7:00 Clock on Monday, between 11.00 and Clock7:00 Clock, from Tuesday through Saturday with an hour break at 1:30 clock.
My next address is' Le Rouge Jupon "at 9 rue de Rochechouart in the 9th district. The owner, Tania, describes here designer depot as" colorful, ethnic but not hippie, and certainly not in the classical style. "Tania offers a selection of up and coming French designers such as Bali Barret (a fencing-style vest for € 45, cashmere blend cardigans for € 45 to € 100) and Vanessa Bruno (wool jackets, € 90). Alsosignatures such as Agnès B leads incumbent (her signature black jacket is offered at 50 €), and vintage Ungaro blouses for € 45. Ladies looking for shoes can be used for pairs of Stephane Kelian low-cut cuban boots fall (€ 100), Repetto ballerinas (€ 40), or vintage low-heel riding boots (€ 40-70). In a completely different style, Griff-Troc designer DepotYou need to get in, if you lose, go chic-chic-chic. The owner, Beatrice, chose in perennial, classic basics specialize in sound condition. Chic has a stronger price, of course, but on the head grip Troc offers brand names for 15-30% of boutique prices. On the shelves at the time I wrote this article, Beatrice had a Chanel suit for € 1000 (compared to € 5000 at Chanel), a brand new dress Chloe bag for € 800 (instead of € 1200), several astounding evening prices between€ 1200 and € 1500 (Chloe, Dior, D & G, Valentino) and Hermès silk scarfs on offer for only 150 €. She maintains a large selection of bags, jewelry and fragrances. Chic classic never dies, who cares about whether your Chanel suit is this season or not? The busy boutique is located in the upscale part of the 17th District, at 119 Boulevard Malesherbes. The nearest metro stations are Villiers and Monceau. The opening times are between 10:30 am and 7:00 pm, Monday through Saturday.
